We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our dear friend Major (Retd) David J. A. Conlin psc. for his great translation work for our new English homepage version. He devoted an incredible amount of his pensioner's time and his ecological knowledge and professionalism to present our Foundation’s English homepage in the most convincing and intriguing style.
The Chairperson of the Board, representatively the Deputy Chairperson, is entirely responsible for the Foundation's operative work and the fulfilment of the Foundation's statutory purpose. The Foundation's Executive Board reports to the Board of Trustees.

Nationally and internationally, numerous nature and wildlife conservationists are committed with blood, sweat, tears and imagination to the realisation of the Foundation's statutory goals. On an honorary basis, the supervisory board members also provide advice and support to the Foundation's work. Thanks alone to the unbureaucratic, cost-efficient and trustful work of competent specialists in this network, we are able to successfully and consistently commit our resources to the benefit of endangered and threatened wildlife species, species diversity, and natural habitats.
This year’s early summer population surveys at our five species conservation towers in the Rhineland have once again highlighted their great regional importance for bird species that use buildings. Our increasingly technological environment is posing a growing threat to Swifts: a shortage of insects, building renovations, glass façades, and overheated roofs are putting these fascinating non-stop flyers at ever greater risk.
