The Stiftung Pro Artenvielfalt organises, finances and is responsible for the STOP Bird Slaughter campaign work.
With the campaign STOP Bird Slaughter we inform the general public and the political authorities responsible for nature conservation in the southern European EU member states and the EU in Brussels about the massive violations of the EU Bird Protection Directive of 1979 and the wildlife cruelty abuses.
1. TV and cinema spots with the German actor and committed environmentalist Hannes Jaenicke. (Broadcast free of charge on RTL, RTL-nitro and n-tv, reaching more than 6 million viewers.)

3. Regular protest card campaigns sent directly to the Republic of Cyprus Interior Minister and/or the EU Commissioner for the Environment, Seas and Fisheries.
Since 2017, more than 100,000 STOP Bird Slaughter protest cards have been sent to the political institutions responsible for nature conservation.Please click here for a larger view

5. Dispatch of 1,000 DVDs STOP Bird Slaughter to political institutions, schools and well-known conservationists.

Our information on illegal bird slaughter and the bird protection camps in Southern Europe has been
viewed well over 50,000 times.
7. With our friends from the Committee against Bird Slaughter (CABS), we work together in the bird protection camps on Cyprus and Sardinia and conduct local political lobbying with police bird authorities and ministries and at the EU Commission in Brussels.
We must persevere with the bird protection camp operations on the battlefields of illegal bird slaughter. Only if we continue with our persistent joint action in the poaching areas and publicise the blatant grievances with facts and photographic evidence will we be able to end the wretched bird murder in the EU member states of Southern Europe in the medium term. However, this commitment costs us a lot of time and staying power and up to 120,000 euros per year. That is money well invested for the operational missions on-site, the documentation and publication of the grievances and the political lobbying for the protection of the migratory bird world!

Following the successful spring bird conservation camps on Cyprus and the Greek island of Zakynthos, our local bird conservationists in Cyprus are once again standing up to the illegal operations of bird poachers and hunters.
