Legal regulations require that the assets of Foundations must be maintained permanently and undiminished. As a result, we are only permitted to use the proceeds from our Foundation assets to fulfil our statutory Foundation purpose, the promotion of wildlife protection and the conservation and promotion of wildlife diversity.
In contrast to a donation, which must be used promptly for our statutory projects, an endowment is permanently added to the assets of our Foundation. Through the associated increase in the Foundation's assets, we achieve higher income in the long term and can thus pursue our statutory purpose more sustainably and successfully.
In the case of endowments to the assets of existing Foundations subject to private law, such as our Foundation, there is an extended special tax allowance. At the request of the taxpayer to the responsible tax office, up to a total of 1.0 million euros can be deducted for the donation in the year of the donation and in the following nine years (§ 10b sub-para. 1a sentence 1 EStG). This deduction can be applied in addition to the normal donation deduction. (Source: Federal Association of German Foundations)
If you wish to support our Foundation work sustainably and effectively, independent of specific projects, we look forward to your donation. In accordance with the statutes, the minimum endowment amount is 2,000.00 euros (EUR two thousand).
In order to be able to clearly identify your endowment as such, for both the Foundation and the tax office, we request you to use our Foundation account at the Sparkasse Bielefeld, IBAN DE95 4805 0161 0044 1411 41 for your transfer and to expressly enter the term "endowment" as reference. Only then can we issue you a corresponding receipt, which we will send you promptly after the receipt and credit of your endowment.
