The sustainable, unrestricted and positive development of the countryside (biotopes) for the benefit of endangered wild animal species and their natural habitats can only be achieved by land ownership.
This also applies to our property purchases, e.g. in nature conservation areas (NSG) and in nature parks, where the official conservation area ordinances expressly permit the continuing use of the countryside in the form of conventional agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting.
Our foundation's development goals on those parts of nature reserves of land that we own are defined more narrowly and strictly and only allow extensive land use, which must serve the goals of the unrestricted conservation of biotope and species.
Land lease as a basis for the project is not an option since the legally required time limit for lease contracts cannot ensure the permanent conservation of nature and species and the sustainable ecological development of the habitats.
