We are actively involved in bird protection camps in Southern Europe at the hotspots of illegal bird slaughter in the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Italy (the Sardinia and Sicily Regions) to combat unlawful bird poaching, still practised in these regions. more information

In support of the diversity of wildlife species, our wildlife conservation projects include the protection of the Black Stork population, tree crown maintenance for the Little Owl and promotion of the voluntary work of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation stations. more information

Project of the month

On the Baltic Sea island of Hiddensee, a valuable area of salt marsh was in danger of being lost to speculative development – a vital habitat urgently needed by the endangered Northern Lapwing, Common Redshank and other species.

Our second land purchase on Hiddensee will secure these salt marshes for the long term and restore habitat for the birds that live there – please support us in this endeavour... to the project

The Stiftung Pro Artenvielfalt is recognised as a non-profit organization by decision of the Bielefeld city centre tax office (Tax No. 305/5981/1222) dated July 10, 2025. Donations are tax deductible. The foundation is also recognised by the foundation authority of the Detmold (NRW) district government.
