Animal helpers assisting in the management of the countryside as part of a biodiversity project: Scottish Highland cattle are moving to our ‘Schimmel’s Ponds’ biotope

Six Scottish Highland cattle and one German Shorthorn have now joined the herd of animals helping to manage the landscape in our Saxon project area, ‘Schimmel's Ponds’, in Limbach-Oberfrohna. Together with Water Buffalo and goats, their appetite for vegetation will help keep this ecologically valuable pond area – comprising nine ponds – open... more information

Following the successful spring bird conservation camps on Cyprus and the Greek island of Zakynthos, our local bird conservationists in Cyprus are once again standing up to the illegal operations of bird poachers and hunters.
